A powerful message with CALM for World Suicide Prevention Day

PR and awareness
In September 2024, Westfield hosted a powerful installation by the suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and Adam&Eve DDB for World Suicide Prevention Day. The Atrium display featured 6,929 brightly coloured balloons, each representing a young life lost to suicide over the past decade. It aimed to raise awareness and encourage conversation about youth suicide. Visitors could scan QR codes to discover personal stories, voice notes, photographs, and memories, fostering hope for the future. This incredible campaign aims to spark conversation and unite the community to help end youth suicide and was covered by national TV. After the campaign, the balloons were then donated to charity Children’s Scrap Project, who re-used the balloons for arts and crafts projects. Westfield Rise are particularly proud to support an important cause, and the operational logistics to deliver this showcased why so many brands come for creative installations with us.
